Do you like the sims 3?
Too much!

How long have you been playing Sims?
Not long actually, I started Sims 1 in 2009! And never played any expansions of sims 1 or 2, so I think I missed out on a lot of awesome gameplay. But I played Sim City and Sim Tower when I was a kid

What’s your favorite; Sims, Sims 2, or Sims 3?
TS3, hands down. I loved the idea of a neighborhood that grew together instead of lot by lot. But there are little things I remember from the other games that were more fun than Sims 3, it’s gotten very commercial.

What’s your favorite E.P. and why?
For TS3, I think probably Ambitions because it finally introduced more gameplay for jobs. I spend so much time building though I don’t think I’ve properly played most of the expansions!

How do you go about naming your sims?
I make shit up! Or more likely, babynames.com. If I’m trying to make someone from a specific region I’ll go to wikipedia and look up common surnames and first names for that country or ethnicity.

When playing, do you live out wild fantasies, or stick to the norm?
More of the norm I guess. Especially since my wild fantasy would probably involve being an astronaut and you can’t see sims go into space…

List 3 things that you love about The Sims.
1.) CC and mods, people are soo so creative
2.) The little details developers throw in. As much as I bitch about commercialism and general sloppiness, there are some little quirky things and obscure references to TV shows that I appreciate
3.) The chance to express my creative side through sim design and building

List 3 things that you dislike about The Sims.
1.) EA! Freakin cash-whores over there… 
2.) Townies, yes!
3.) Lag/Glitches

How often do you play the sims?
It really varies, sometimes all day, sometimes once a week. Since discovering Tumblr I spend way more time reading other people’s Simblrs than playing my own game

Do you go into a new game blind, or do you have entire backgrounds/futures planned for your sims?
Both! Though usually blind. Only after I got to Tumblr did I even try to create a story. Mostly I just follow my sims around and hit pause A LOT to take pics and the story kind of unfolds from there.

Do you use cheats?
Yep! I have the auto testingcheats and buydebug mods because I am always moving things around, adding stuff, etc. NRAAS MC/SP aren’t cheats exactly but I modify stuff like every 5 seconds with them! Plus like 75% of the mods ever posted on MTS and occassionally my own tweaks of other people’s mods. I used to use AM but haven’t lately.

Are you OCD when it comes to anything in your game?
I’m inclined to say no because there’s no one thing I always have to do, but I’m pretty controlling/anal about the game so… yes?

Bookworm, friendly, clumsy, light sleeper, perceptive (or no sense of humor if you ask my fiance =P )

26 (zomg I feel so old because I am realizing how many kiddos are on here!)

What kind of music do you listen to?
Indie, alternative, rock, jazz, classical, kind of anything. My two main Pandora stations are Macy Gray/Adele/Amy Winehouse and Louie Armstrong/Frank Sinatra so maybe more R&B-ish

Do you play any other games?
No, I’m a total gaming loser. I’ve tried a few things but they never hold my interest. My fiance has a ton of games on Steam and occasionally I sign into his account and try something new. I did try Mass Effect and Skyrim, they both gave me a headache because I’m not used to the camera movement, but they were so pretty!

What are some of your favorite simblrs?
Everyone! I follow 130 people Simblrs currently and that’s after going through and removing the ones I wasn’t as into. So yeah.. (someone is a Simblr-addict)

List 3 things that no one knows about you.
Uh geez. Well on Tumblr at least:

1) While I was in grad school I commuted from Maryland to DC every day. Each morning I would get a newspaper and read it on the train. Since I finished school I get my news almost exclusively from John Stewart. It’s pretty pathetic.
2) Every time a new Harry Potter book came out as I was growing up I would go back and read all the previous ones. 
3) I’ve developed some kind of media ADD because I can never seem to sit through a whole movie these days but will totally watch 6 half hour shows in a row. Especially if those shows are about science or space because I am a giant nerd (and astrophysicists are the shit)

What do you want to be when you grow up?
Grow.. up? What is this magic you speak of?

When I was a kid I literally had pages and pages of career choices written out because I wanted to do everything. By 10 I narrowed it down to astronaut or best selling author. In college I had planned to do a double major of biology and creative writing, but budget cuts killed the writing department and now I’m a genetic counselor (which involves a lot of writing but no space travel sadly).

Do you believe in UFOs? In technical terms, yes, I do believe an object could move through the sky and not be identified. I do not think said object is being flown by aliens. I’m not saying aliens couldn’t be out there, we exist, why not other organisms? But why bother coming here? We’re idiots.

Abortion: Pro-choice

Death penalty: Eh.. yes and no? 

Gay marriage: Yes. I do not understand why people are fighting this. Marriage is meant to be about love, don’t complicate it.
